NIST join the Industrial Control Security conference September 29th and 30th in London and Industrial Control Security USA Oct 6&7 Sacramento California
"National and economic security depends on the reliable functioning of critical infrastructures. These infrastructures are increasingly interconnected via a growing array of wireless connections, including but not limited to connections to and through the global internet. There is also a trend to more and more third party processing of information that is critical to these infrastructures (e.g., by global cloud computing services). The integrity, reliability, and security of these connections and third party services that are so important to national and economic security range from relatively sound to woefully inadequate. Significant progress in reducing the cyber vulnerability of our critical infrastructures requires genuine teamwork on a global scale between public and private sectors, between infrastructure managers and security providers, and among local and national governments. Initiatives designed to raise awareness regarding issues that require international attention and to foster collaborative interchanges among infrastructure and security industry associations are essential to developing this teamwork."
